100 DAYS’ PLAN TO BE ENSURED IN ALL DEPARTMENTS, HIGH LEVEL MEETING HELD AT CIVIL SECTT.

LAHORE, SEPT. 28: Senior Minister Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan  has said that in all the districts aggressive campaign would be launched against encroachments from 1st of October in which no political pressure would be entertained and steps would be taken to restore the original condition of the buildings. He observed this while presiding over a high level meeting held at Civil Secretariat in which Law Minister Mohammad Basharat Raja, Chief Secretary, IG Police, Secretaries and Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, RPOs, DPOs and concerned officers were present through video link. Abdul Aleem Khan said that while removing encroachment the mafias would be nabbed while poor, widows and cart holders would be given soft corner and some margin in this regard.  Senior Minister asked the Commissioners to arrange alternate place for cart holders in their respective areas and register them first so that they can be given some relief. Abdul Aleem Khan said that very after removing the encroachments, cleanliness and beautification campaign would be started in all the districts so that main roads and important sites of all cities could be rehabilitated and decorated for best possible environment there.  He said that steps should also be taken to minimize power theft and the culprits take in to task. He said for implementation on 100 days plan all the departments should play their role and leave no stone unturned in this regard. Abdul Aleem Khan said that for acting upon the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan there should be no lapse and every officer should perform up to the mark. He said that officers performing extra ordinary would be given full encouragement and their performance would be acknowledged as well. Senior Minister told that 16 departments have been chosen in Punjab for 100 days plan and he is coordinating in this regard. He directed that in all big cities especially Lahore, master plan and doable bylaws should be prepared. Abdul Aleem Khan said that he himself would be visiting different cities and will start from Gujranwala to inspect anti encroachment and cleanliness drive on the spot.  In the meeting, Law Minister Mohammad Basharat Raja appreciated the performance of all the field officers in Moharram ul Harram and said that such spirit should remain active all the time.
Chief Secretary Punjab Akbar Husain Durrani directed to ensure the removal of encroachments in day light so that any untoward incident could be avoided. He said that officers of Punjab Government are fully capable and have the ability to meet any challenge. Chief Secretary asked to deliver best performance for cleanliness drive, minimize power theft, 100 days’ plan and ensure close liaison with the elected representatives in their areas. Different Commissioners and RPOs also gave feedback in this regard and pointed out ground realities’
