GOVT. NEEDS PRACTICAL RESULTS, INDIA’S RESPONSE DEPLORABLE-ABDUL ALEEM KHAN

LAHORE, SEPT. 22: Senior Minister Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan has directed to sort new avenues of tourism in Punjab with close partnership of private sector. He added that it is the need of the hour that steps should be taken in the right direction to ensure maximum tourism facilities for the masses. He expressed this while presiding over 100 Days’ Plan review meeting held at 90 Shara e Quaid Azam in which Minister Tourism Raja Yasir Hamayun, Chief Secretary Akbar Husain Durrani, Secretary Tourism and senior officers of the department were present. 
 Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan said that only routine file work and feasibility reports cannot give the results and present government is interested to take practical steps in each sector and especially in Tourism there is wide scope of working. Senior Minister said that it is imperative to be realized that only spending of government exchequer is not a big deal but it is more functional that private sectors should be given space to work on lease or partnership basis.  Abdul Aleem Khan said that apart from Murree, there are much opportunities in Khushab, Texla, Kotli Satiaan, Rohtaas where tourism has to be promoted more and people be given more recreational facilities. He said that at every dam and head-works tourism can be promoted with a little effort. Senior Minister said that tourism sector has great importance for our Prime Minister Imran khan and this department will have to put its share in the 100 days plan in Punjab. Abdul Aleem Khan said that companies of international repute should be given chance to come up with their plans in tourism which would be helpful in establishing more spots in Punjab for tourism. Minister Tourism Raja Yasir Hamayun in his briefing told that only in Chakwal District there are 26 lakes which need the attention of this department. 
Meanwhile, Senior Minister Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan has criticized the attitude of India on boycotting the dialogue session and said that once again the real face of our neighbor has exposed. He said that Imran Khan has taken a big step in the larger interest of sub-continent but negative response has been given. Abdul Aleem Khan said that in fact real issue is still Kashmir but no one should remain in misunderstanding as Pakistan will never withdraw this basic right.
