SANCTION OF Rs. ONE CRORE FOR MIANI SAHAB GRAVEYARD BY SENIOR MINISTER

LOCAL BODIES DEPARTMENT DIRECTED TO TAKE CARE OF ALL GRAVEYARDS - A. ALEEM

LAHORE, SEPTEMBER 01: Senior Provincial Minister of Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan has given sanction of the funds of Rs. one crore to be spent on the Miani Sahab Graveyard which would be utilized on the day to day and monthly expenses and other  requirements of this graveyard. 
Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan told that as Minister of Local Government Department he has recommended the first summary of Miani Sahab Graveyard so that this important issue could be resolved on priority basis. He said that those who have left this life also need our attention and it is our moral and religious responsibility to safeguard all the graves with their sanctity. Senior Minister said that his department would never ignore this important sector and apart from Lahore in other cities of province graveyards would also be taken care off and no negligence would be tolerated in this regard. Abdul Aleem Khan said that Punjab Government would opt uniform policy for the affairs of  graveyards and in new local bodies system in Punjab and special attention would be paid in this sector. He also directed the departmental officers to focus this issue and implement Court orders in letter and spirit. He said that there should be no delay in implementing the directions given to them. Senior Minister expressed hope that the amount of Rs. one crore would be spent for the betterment of Miani Sahab Graveyard and report would be submitted to him also.
