JOINT MEETING OF FOREIGN COMPANIES & SENIOR OFFICERS CONVENED ON SATURDAY

LAHORE, OCTOBER 25:  Senior Minister Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan has said that foreign investment in Punjab for the improvement of infrastructure would be welcomed and Punjab Government would not utilize direct funds while international companies would be given projects on BOT basis. He expressed this while talking to representatives of different international companies’ representatives who called on him here at 90 The Mall in his office.  Abdul Aleem Khan offered that foreign companies can work on establishing economic and industrial zones along with highways and motorways which can play an important role in uplifting all the surrounding areas as well. He said that investors should earn the due profit but its ultimate benefit should be to the Punjab Province and its masses. Senior Minister said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has the vision of putting the country on the road of progress and prosperity in real sense and for this purpose he intends to give self sufficiency to this land. Abdul Aleem Khan said that present Government would end the mismanagement done by the last regime and such policies would be ended which resulted in financial bankruptcy for Punjab. He assured the foreign investors that they would be given complete security and cooperation so they can work with free hand in which sector they choose.
Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan also convened join meeting of foreign companies and the concerned officers of different departments on this Saturday and said that all should sit together and find the ways to start working as early as possible on different projects. Senior Minister assured that investors coming from other countries would be given full hospitality and there would be no under the table deal. He said that transparent and crystal clear system would be adopted to undertake new projects in Punjab. Abdul Aleem Khan directed that in the next meeting Chief Secretary, Chairman P&D, Secretaries of Finance and Communication & Works Departments should also be invited. He further asked to bring the Board of Investment Punjab under the Planning & Development Department so that matters could be expedited. Senior Minister Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan was called on by General Manager of Chinese Company Song Yenpe and Business Development Manager Raven Zhu who offered their full cooperation and heavy investment in different sectors of Punjab.
