OPERATION TO CONTINUE TILL THE REMOVAL OF LAST ENCROACHMENT-SENIOR MINISTER PUNJAB

PM BRIEFED ON NEW LOCAL GOVT. BILL OF PUNJAB, ABDUL ALEEM KHAN’S TALK 

LAHORE, OCTOBER 02:  Senior Minister Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan has said that the operation would remain continue till the removal of last encroachment and no leniency would be there for any one and uniform policy would be observed to ensure the supremacy of law. Abdul Aleem Khan appreciated the performance of administration and civic agencies on the first day of operation and expressed hope that such atmosphere would continue. While talking at airport, Abdul Aleem Khan appealed the citizens to come forward and cooperated in the ongoing drive. He said that this is the first Government who started to implement its promises very after the first month of coming in power. Senior Minister told that target has been set for each district of Punjab and results would be monitored by him at divisional level.  Abdul Aleem Khan said that the last government did nothing in the 10 years of its rule to wipe out encroachments but patronized illegal occupation in many areas. He said that our policies would prove that only law is supreme and no favor would be given to anyone. He claimed that present government has taken unpopular decision of removing encroachments which also include our voters too but it is imperative to hold the enforcement of rules and regulations. 

Senior Minister told that he has briefed Prime Minister Imran Khan on the new Local Bodies System of Punjab Province and now we are waiting for the final green signal to move forward in this regard. He said that in any district the operation against encroachment will not be discontinued. Similarly, concerned department have also been given task to end illegal construction on permanent basis and if these occurs again in future then concerned department would be responsible. Abdul Aleem Khan told that he would also visiting divisional headquarters to monitor the results and ensure that all field officers have also attained the required results in this regard. Senior Minister said that all over the province all such officers would be awarded appreciation whose performance would come up to the mark.
