SENIOR MINISTER EMPHASISED TO WORK FOR WELFARE OF SPECIAL CHILDREN

PATRON COMMITTEE OF RISING SUN INSTITUTE MET ITS ANNUAL SESSION

Lahore, Nov. 19:  Senior minister Abdul Aleem Khan has said that helping the special children and making them an important part of society is a way to thank Allah’s blessings on us. He said that it is not only the duty of government but every individual should also participate in such activities that help those kids who are mentally or physically disable. He gave these remarks in a meeting of Patron Committee of Rising Sun Institute that was chaired by ex-Governor Lieutenant General(r) Khalid Maqbool which was attended by other members also.  
Abdul Aleem Khan said that people devoted their lives in helping others despite of their race colour and religion are always remembered in the history. Mother Teresa and Ruth Pfau are one of those great people who have devoted their lives to help the humanity in larger perspective. Abdul Aleem Khan also mentioned that business tycoons across the world who donate a handsome part of their earnings on charity and Bill gates is one such example of it. He said that our religion Islam also teaches us to donate in form of zakat or sadaqa for charity basis.He himself on the behalf of his charity organization ( Abdul Aleem Khan Foundation ) ensured to help the rising sun institute for monetary purposes. It is important to note that Abdul Aleem Khan himself has paid for the building of this institute which is named after his father, Abdul Rahim Khan in Moghalpura Campus.
Ex Governor Lieutenant General (R) Khalid Maqbool while chairing the meeting briefed about the ongoing projects of Rising Sun Institute. He mentioned the difficulties facing by the institute at the moment and pointed out its solution as well. Tasneem Noorani, Pervaiz A Shahid, Rizwan Ullah Khan, Mian Muhammad Aslam, Jameel Qureshi, Waqar ur Rehman and others considered the progress of institute satisfactory and expressed their views in the meeting of Patron Committee.
