LONG & SHORT TERM POLICIES TO BE INTRODUCED FOR PROMPT ACTION-ABDUL ALEEM KHAN

LAHORE, JAN. 16:  On the directions of the Punjab Chief Minister quarterly review meetings of different departments have been started and in the first phase 5 departments were came under discussion in a high level meeting chaired by Senior Minister Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan here at Chief Minister House. Provincial Ministers of Agriculture, Food, Irrigation, Livestock and Forests attended this meeting where the Secretaries of the said Departments were also present. Senior Minister asked that for the current quarter of the year we have to come up with long and short term planning and come up with such proposals which can increase performance on reality based facts. He said that so far in the last 4 months many unpopular but realistic steps have been taken and burden of these policies affected common man and now it is our prime responsibility to take remedial measures accordingly. Abdul Aleem Khan said that common man has great and high hope with the present leadership and it is our prime duty to listen the complaints and go for their genuine solution.
Senior Minister Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan directed the senior officers to keep in view the vision of the present government and take steps in the light of the directions of Prime Minister and Chief Minister. He added that the old policies of seventy years have to be changed now and there is much work to be done for which everyone will have to work day and night. Senior Minister said that there is no doubt that present government has taken financial burden in inheritance but yet we have to strive hard for the solution of present challenges.  Abdul Aleem Khan said that retaining ourselves in the available resources we have to give best results and for this everyone is come up with national zeal and fervor. Senior Minister reviewed each department and gave them next target to be completed up to 31st March, 2019. He observed that in Livestock Department there should be practical work for Export Zones and improvement for the animals. He advised to provide more facilities to the farmers in Agriculture Department. Abdul Aleem Khan praised the performance of Food Authority and called upon to set up Nutricition Clinics in each district. In the meeting performance and targets of Irrigation and Forest Departments were also came under discussion. Provincial Minister Sardar Mohsin Leghari, Noman Langrial, Sami Ullah Chaudhary and Sardar Hasnain Bahadar Drashiak also participated while Provincial Secretaries of all the 5 departments also expressed their views and proposals for the next five months.
