LAHORE, JANUARY 01: Senior minister Abdul Aleem Khan in a joint meeting of Lahore Waste Management Company and Albarak & Ozpak expressed his strong reservations over the situation of cleanliness and gave zonal officers ultimatum of two weeks with clear instructions of making the city better otherwise they should get ready to face the music. He said the cleanliness situation is totally un-satisfactory despite of spending billions of rupees on this project. He added that the people haven’t seen the change yet for which they have given us the mandate. Abdul Aleem Khan has said that senior management of all the companies have been receiving commissions in past and this effect of this damage can be seen easily in every department. He promised to give zonal officers raise in salaries, provided that their performance gets better. He said that he himself has visited city quite often an not satisfied at all. He asked Lahore waste management company to provide him the list of all the employees and if he finds a single ghost employee then the responsible will be held accountable. He highlighted the importance of the mutual coordination among waste management and Turk companies and ordered that the issues should get resolved on daily basis and every union council and street should get cleaned at every cost. He said that we are accountable to people and in this case, no negligence what so ever can be tolerated. He further said that those who work will get not only respect but the incentives otherwise there is no place for those who don’t work.

Abdul Aleem Khan addressed the media and said that Orange Line train is a white elephant and it’s hard to operate i. He said sarcastically that the Royals have wasted the billions of nation for the sake of preferred projects only for the sake of heavy commission and cheep popularity. Senior Minister pointed out that with an amount of 4 billion can make a hospital like Shoukat Khanum whereas billions were wasted in an un-wanted project. Abdul Aleem Khan said that every company itself tells a story of corruption, we can’t let this happen anymore and investigating different projects. In a response to a question, he said, how can a former chief minister or prime minister talks about accountability of others who were nothing in the last 12 years. They have to answer for what they have done not to get worried of others. He said that Punjab has been bankrupt by those who think of themselves as great administrators. He said that the annual developmental program has to be lessening down because of such compulsions. Abdul Aleem Khan said that historically the best local body system of Punjab will be introduced shortly that will benefit the rural and urban areas equally. He said that the legal points of bill are being reviewed. He said that he remained the IT minister of Punjab till 2007 then why PMLN thought to hold him accountable in 2015? Why the ones who have debt the country, made properties abroad shouldn’t be held accountable? In another response to a question he said PMLN and PPP used to blame each other now they have joined hands against Imran Khan. He said that the present government has kept its promises along with the process of accountability; people will be provided with the necessities for sure. Abdul Aleem Khan said that strong policies will be implemented to resolve the issues and all the problems would be overcome with the passage of time.
