BOTH HOSPITALS WILL GET STATE-OF-THE-ART FACILITIES FOR KIDNEY PATIENTS

ABDUL ALEEM KHAN FOUNDATION TO FUND FOR NEW BEDS & DIALYSIS MACHINES

Senior Minister Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan inspected various departments during his visit to Mayo and Services Hospitals, here today. During his visit he announced that Abdul Aleem Khan Foundation would make the dialysis wards of Mayo Hospital and Services Hospital state-of-the-art, where modern machines would be installed and new beds would be provided. In addition, necessary equipment will also be purchased by the AAK Foundation for both these hospitals. Abdul Aleem Khan said that the initiative was aimed at improving the welfare of the citizens and providing better health facilities to the general public visiting Government hospitals. Abdul Aleem Khan said that his foundation is active in various welfare projects, which was not taking funds from other organizations but rather was a self-financed endeavor. Under the auspices of this foundation, several steps have been taken for the reform of Kot Lakhpat Jail and for the welfare of the inmates, while residential and educational residences for orphaned girls are also functioning in Lahore, Senior Minister added. He asked the Secretary of the Foundation Brigadier (r) Khalid Bashir to complete the work of dialysis wards in the hospitals as soon as possible. He also got a detailed briefing from the Medical Superintendents of both the hospitals who informed about the facilities and services provided by the administration of both the hospitals. They thanked Senior Punjab Minister Abdul Aleem Khan for his co-operation and termed it as great news especially for dialysis patients. In his conversation, Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan said that providing better facilities was their first responsibility and all philanthropists besides the Government must do their part to serve the suffering humanity. He said that Abdul Aleem Khan Foundation is already running welfare schemes in various hospitals and now dialysis wards have also been added.
