Low cost electricity is the right of the people: Abdul Aleem Khan
Senior Minister Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan has termed the new low cost power contracts with private power companies as a major breakthrough and an important achievement of the present Government. He added that it has been proved both Nawaz League and PPP put public interest behind them and filled their coffers in these electricity projects. Abdul Aleem Khan said that low cost electricity is a basic right of the common man and this initiative of the Government would not only benefit the citizens but also turn the wheel of the economy and accelerate industrial development as well.
In his conversation, Senior Punjab Minister Abdul Aleem Khan said that the decision of new agreements with power companies is a good omen. It has come to light how the past rulers protected each other's wrongdoings and used the national treasury relentlessly. Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan said that the power situation has improved significantly in the last two years, especially in summer when power consumption is high but there is no such load shedding. He said that with the personal interest of Prime Minister Imran Khan, new agreements were being signed with private power companies which would significantly improve the power sector and save billions of rupees lost from the national exchequer. Abdul Aleem Khan expressed his determination that the present Government would continue such major initiatives in the future so that maximum facilities could be provided to the common man.
