ELECTORAL REFORMS: PM'S MOVE IS COMMENDABLE: A. ALEEM KHAN

Senior Punjab Minister Abdul Aleem Khan has said that electoral reforms are currently the most important requirement and the recommendations put forward by Prime Minister Imran Khan, in this regard, are important and commendable. He said that electronic voting would be a step in the right direction and would make the election results acceptable to all.
Talking about electoral reforms, Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan said that granting the right to vote to overseas Pakistanis has been a part of the PTI manifesto. He added that it was a crucial promise that, if fulfilled, would further strengthen the democratic process in the country. He said that there was no doubt that changes in the present electoral system were inevitable for which a necessary enactment in constitution is required. He stated that for the first time in the history of the country, Prime Minister Imran Khan has given revolutionary proposals and he wants immediate implementation on these recommendations in Senate elections. Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan said that he hopes that the opposition would support the Government on electoral reforms and offer its support for necessary legislation. He said that the time has come for us to mature in our attitudes to the democratic procedures as electoral reforms will improve the image of Pakistan in the world. Abdul Aleem Khan said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is fulfilling his promise to change the current unreliable system and regarding electoral reforms this effort will bring fruitful change in the country.
