A. ALEEM KHAN'S VISITS DIALYSIS UNITS AT SERVICES HOSPITAL

36 DIALYSIS MACHINES TO BE INSTALLED BY AAKF 

Senior Minister Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan during his visit to Services Hospital inspected the renovation of dialysis units and expressed satisfaction over the work done so far. He issued instructions to start providing quality and free medical services in these dialysis blocks as soon as possible. Abdul Aleem Khan inspected the 3-block dialysis wards at the Services Hospital run by the AAK Foundation with state-of-the-art medical facilities to be provided there. Senior Minister Punjab was informed that 36 modern dialysis machines would be installed here while these machines have been imported from Germany, already. He was informed that Abdul Aleem Khan Foundation will run these dialysis units in collaboration with the Nephrology Department of Services Hospital while all the three blocks of dialysis will be air conditioned where the dialysis patients and the attendants accompanying them will also be facilitated. Brig. (r) Khalid Bashir, Director, Abdul Aleem Khan Foundation, said in his briefing that the AAK Foundation would further increase the number of dialysis machines on completion of the new block which will be completed as soon as possible. He told that similar dialysis unit is also been furnished at Meyo Hospital by Abdul Aleem Khan Foundation where same modern facilities will be available for the needy patients free of cost.

Senior Minister Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan said that the AAK Foundation has been working on various projects of health, education and public welfare for the last 15 years with the aim of serving the man kind without any political or other affiliation. He further said that Abdul Aleem Khan Foundation carries out welfare work without any help from any public or private organization and all the expences are met from its own resources. Senior Minister added that AAKF has undertaken different welfare projects at Kot Lakhpat Jail Lahore and in the other jails of Punjab province and the welfare work is being constantly continued there. Similarly, establishment of free dispensaries in different areas, water filtration plants, residential and educational institutions for orphan girls and financial assistance to poor and needy people are also included in the projects of Abdul Aleem Khan Foundation on which huge amount of money is being spent regularly. Abdul Aleem Khan reiterated that the speedy completion of dialysis wards at Mayo and Services Hospital would be ensured so that the needy patients could get free medical facilities as early as possible.
